Everyone knows Manhattan Beach as the primo ‘surf city’.  Since the 1960s this city has been in the forefront in surfing news, surfboard production and we even sold Hawaii our beach sand at one point a few years back.  In recent months many of its residents and the local real estate professionals and Realtors are starting to dismiss the term ‘surf city’ after finding out that this city’s real estate prices have surpassed those in Beverly Hills and Malibu, just to name 2 of our competition sister towns that are close by.  Its now official that we are a prestigious beach town with the most expensive beach front property prices of anywhere in the state and maybe in the country.  We have to say that Beverly Hills was a close second place with La Jolla and Rolling Hills right behind.  Many of the older homes  that were built during the 1940s are being torn down and replaced with newer and larger estate type executive homes and this phenomenon is happening in all of the neighborhoods Manhattan Beach Real Estate becomes more and more highly sought after for people wanting to live our unique beach lifestyle. With all of the amenities that living in Manhattan Beach gives to the residents, is it any wonder that people are getting in line to take some of our homes as fast as they hit the MLS Listings.


Manhattan Beach Real Estate ownership has become the goal for many investors who know the value of owning a home and especially owning a high value home in one of Manhattan Beach’s fine neighborhoods.  Each Neighborhood has its own special style and type of home, streets and other special attributes and usually they are different from any of the other unique neighborhoods.  The different neighborhoods are:  The Strand, The Hill Section, The Tree Section, The Sand Section, El Porto, The Costa Mesa Section, and the eastern sections: Liberty Village and Manhattan Heights.

The downtown area of the city has tree lined streets, and overlooks the beach and the famous pier.  There is world class shopping, chic shops, surf shops, retail outlets, great restaurants, cafes and coffee shops, entertainment, bars and night spots.  Office and business property downtown are newer and modern with many offices and store fronts and come up for sale or lease often for those interested in commercial property ownership.
